Toxic toad evolves?

Well, it seems that B. alvarius is the most potent known toad (psychoactively).  But apparently other anurans are as well (although less potent), including various species of Bufo (other), Hyla, Rana, and Leptodactylus.  As for toad-licking (YUCK), I wonder if it is truly an urban legend, or if evolution simply eliminated those humans who thought it would be fun to try.  Here's one link:
