I would appreciate receiving any recommendations people may have for
particularly useful papers, on “groundplans” and their meaning and use
in phylogenetics. The term is certainly widely used. However, it seems
to be much more rarely discussed in detail. Particularly useful would be
those papers that I may miss because the main theme of the paper is not
groundplans, but the paper does include a notable implementation or
salient discussion of the topic. I plan to facilitate some discussion on
this topic in my lab group.
