Dear Taxacomers

I am looking for the coordinates for a locality called "Mope", in New Britain, Papua New Guinea. This is the type locality of Cypraea (Cribrarula) catholicorum Schilder and Schilder, 1938. The authors named the species after (Dutch?) catholic missionaries who collected shells, in the 1930's. One of the collectors was J. Schneider. I looked for this locality in a printed PNG gazeteer (1974), and several online gazeteers, such as the NIMA database, calle.com, Getty Geographical Name Thesaurus, etc, to no avail. My guess that this was the name of the catholic mission at the time, and the name might have changed over time. Any suggestions?

Aloha, Fabio
