Asteraceae material needed

Dear Taxacomers,

        My student, Abby Moore, is doing a molecular systematic study of
the genera Balsamorhiza and Wyethia in the Asteraceae.  The only species we
still need material of is Wyethia invenusta (Greene) Weber.  It flowers in
July and early August and inhabits open woodlands in Fresno, Tulare, and
Kern counties in south-central California.  It is one or two meters tall
with alternate, ovate cauline leaves that are up to 20 cm long.  There are
no basal leaves.  The flower heads are two or three centimeters wide and
either lack ray flowers or have only a few, short ray flowers.  She needs
between .025 and .05 grams of dried leaves (.1 g fresh leaves) for DNA
extraction.  This material can come from either a freshly pressed specimen
or from an herbarium specimen collected in the 1970's or later.  We have
already consulted the CAS and Davis herbaria, but not others in California.
If any herbarium curators out there have a specimen they would be willing
to loan us for minimal destructive sampling, it would be much appreciated.
