Musa taxonomy?

The Botanical Garden and the Department of Ecology and Systematics at
the University of Helsinki are planning to initiate studies in
taxonomy and phylogeny of wild bananas (genus Musa, probably
concentrating on sections Callimusa and Australimusa). As this will
be a new topic for us we would greatly appreciate contacts from the
labs already working on Musa and close relatives in order to avoid
overlap and to develop co-operation.
