Liquid for leps

Dear list members,

It seems possible (as someone told me) to preserve lepidopterous larvae, such as cutworms, in a solution that will leave the colors intact (useful for identification). Anyone knows such a mix that uses ethanol, glycerin and/or vinegar, etc, etc ?
