The Bug Closet (university of central florida collection of arthropds
((UCFC)) ) will be closing and moving. when? where? how? for how long?
after 35?? years of planning they have started on the extention to the
biology building and are about to start on the renovation of this
building. to this end work is due to start on the first floor, where the
collections are and we are expecting to move. we have yet to be told, how,
where, when, or for how long. however if we survive we should return to
the same area and have a tad more room and perhaps some wall plugs.
there will be no new loans of regional material going out. those of you
who have material out, however, and wish to send it back when you are done
may do so using the same address and i will work it back into the
collection. it is my hope that some working space will be provided here
and what can not be done here will be done while working at home -
assuming that i will still have access to the collections.
those of you planning to visit in the next few months, you are still
expected and the material will be available.
it is going to be an interesting if not exciting time.
cheers! rof
