The successful applicant serves as administrative head of a
laboratory located on the Indian River Lagoon in central,
eastern Florida, with responsibilities for maintaining an active
individual research program, overseeing a resident staff of
five, supporting a large visiting scientist program, and
directing a public education facility.

Appropriate research areas include: community or ecosystem
ecology; population biology/genetics employing molecular
approaches to investigating biodiversity; phylogeography and
systematics; and experimental life-history studies.
