Centipeda

Dear List members,

While working on the Anthemideae for Flora of Pakistan, I noted that the
genus Centipeda Lour. is listed under Anthemideae and recent volume on
Compositae of Flora of India (1999 or 1998) also has treated it under
Anthemideae. Mabberly (1997)has written it as belonging to Astereae. I do
not have access to Bremer, K (Asteraceae: Cladistics)and therefore do not
know where Centipeda has been referred to. In the generic monograph of the
Asteraceae-Anthemideae (Bull. nat. Hist. Mus. Lond. (Bot) 23(2): 71-177,
Bremer & Humphries (1993) have excluded it from Anthemideae and suggested it
to be placed in Astereae without giving any logical discussion.

Could any one kindly write to me or on the list as to why Centipeda Lour.
has been excluded from Anthemideae and where it is placed now and why?
