The plant shown at the following site is definately Papaya and not a Jatropha. I have seen this plant in the field. Although we can see a fruit on this tree-like unbranched plant but the leaf scars are very clear and r like those on Papaya trunk.This plant is grown in tropical and subtropical countries. In Pakistan it is commonly grown in Karachi as a fruit crop.

Someone suggested papaya for the unknown. I think papayas usually have more divisions to the leaf, as shown at:
