Freezer temperatures.--Correction

I've just checked my source again, and it doesn't indicate that -80C is called for. Instead, a temperature near -20C is suggested, with re-warming and re-freezing recommended for resistant pests.
Still, at these temperatures, the freezing must be very quick and the packages no more than about 15 cm thick. Given that most of what goes into our freezer is tightly packed and much thicker than 15 cm, I feel safer in freezing at lower temperatures, especially material which I know to be infested. I have never noticed freezing to have a harmful effect on specimens, provided that boxes are wrapped in plastic so that condensation does not form on the contents when they are taken from the freezer.
I apologize for the confusion.
