The Vascular Plant Type Specimen Catalog
<http://www.nybg.org/bsci/hcol/vasc/> at The New York Botanical Garden
<http://www.nybg.org/> has just been updated with 2,000 additional
high-resolution specimen images of the Cyperaceae
<http://www.nybg.org/bsci/hcol/vasc/Cyperaceae.html> and the genus
Elaphoglossum
<http://www.nybg.org/bsci/hcol/vasc/Pteridophyte.html#Elaphoglossum> . The
catalog now contains over 4,400 images and approximately 67,000 vascular
plant type specimen records. The other 2,400 images of herbarium specimens
from the families Annonaceae, Ericaceae, Lecythidaceae, and New World
Rutaceae can also be found by searching our catalog
<http://scisun.nybg.org:8890/searchdb/owa/wwwspecimen.searchform> or by
viewing taxa lists <http://www.nybg.org/bsci/hcol/vasc/> . Images of
Scrophulariaceae types will be added in the near future. The Garden's seven
other phanerogamic and six cryptogamic specimen catalogs can be accessed
through the general Herbarium Specimen Catalog
<http://www.nybg.org/bsci/hcol/> .
