Adam's apple

[Les Kaufman]

manchineel apples look somewhat edible, but I can't imagine that anybody
sitting under the tree, contemplating the fruits, would fail to notice
discomfort after a short while.  I have no personal experience as to their
deliciousness, and have studiously avoided the experiment.
