And I will go so far as to add that any biogeographic study of  America
that fails to draw on, or at least to refer to, this work is seriously
deficient academically. The book brings together many of the analyses
Croizat developed in his earlier works as well as new material, and
certainly provides a detailed overview of American biogeography. Of course
to those cladists who dismiss Croizat's method as phenetic, this book,
along with the rest of his works, is totally lacking scientific merit.
