Steve Aitken, of the Tropical Conservancy, has asked me to post this for him.

Tropical Conservancy believes that discovering and understanding all life
forms inhabiting the earth's ecosystems is essential to their management,
conservation and sustainable use. For this reason, Tropical Conservancy
after a lot of effort and persistence proudly presents "Biodiversity;
Journal of Life on Earth" . It is our contribution to the process of
knowledge building, through scientific research, education, and public
awareness of the diversity of life.
We strongly support Biosystematics collections and the role of taxonomy in
the study of biodiversity. The Editorial board includes a number of
prominent international taxonomists.

The Journal Editorial Board and Production Team are dedicated to making
"Biodiversity" a unique and valuable scientific journal. Don McAllister,
Catherine Ripley, and Ralph Idema were key personnel in the internationally
recognized "Global biodiversity" whose founder, the Canadian Museum of
Nature, stopped publishing it in June 1999 due to financial constraints.
Tropical Conservancy welcomes the expertise and knowledge that they bring to
this new and valuable publication.
