Apologies if this has already been posted - I tried whenever Robin's
e-mail arrived yesterday, but it has not "bounced back" yet - and
apologies to all those others who recognize North Gower. John

A few comments on some of Robin Leach's responses:
16. Nfld, Avalon Peninsula, Turks Water. Contact Dave Larson, Biology
Memorial U, St John's, Nfld.
There is Turks Cove on the Carbonear Peninsula (between Conception and
Trinity Bays) (part of the Avalon Peninsula).
17. Northern Peninsual, Parsons Road, Nfld. Contact Dave Larson.
I think this is probably Parsons Pond (not Road), just north of Gros
Morne National Park on the Northern Peninsula.
18. Port Credit, Ontario?? 43 degrees 33'N, 79 degrees 35'W.
More likely just to be anywhere on the Credit River that enters Lake
Ontario at Port Credit, now part of Missisauga, in the Greater Toronto
Area.
21. North Gore, Ontario. I have a feeling that this is part of Toronto.
I do not know this in Toronto; could it be North Gower (pronounced
Gore), just south of Ottawa?
28. St, Anne de Bellevue ... MacDonald
College, once the aggie part of McGill University?
Yes, but there are so many St. Anne's in Quebec province (probably over
100) ....! St. Anne de Beupre, a shrine and tourist site down river
from Quebec City, is one of the best known - though, of course, the
MacDonald campus of McGill (at the west end of Montreal island) might be
more likely for biological collecting.
