ASSOCIATE LECTURER IN BOTANY (HALF-TIME LIMITED-TERM)
(Ref: 1674) in the DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY, THE UNIVERSITY OF ADELAIDE. Duties
will mainly involve organising, demonstrating and tutoring in plant taxonomy,
evolution and anatomy at all levels.
The successful appointee will have as a minimum qualification a good BSc
(Honours) degree in Botany or a related subject and will be expected to conduct
research in plant taxonomy and evolution, which may be for the purpose of
obtaining a higher degree.
A knowledge of the South Australian flora is desirable. An ability to
demonstrate a commitment to teaching and to liase with staff and students is
essential.
The position is available from 14 March 1994. It is expected that the position
will be available for a period of three years in the first instance, and may be
available for a further two years.

Full time salary per anum: AUS$28,700 x 7 - $38,950 (a minimum of $36,285 is
payable to the holder of a PhD).
