Gymnosperm and Angiosperm Classification Question

I am a graduate teaching assistant at Stephen F. Austin State
University, College of Forestry.

I am overwhelmed by the differences in the sytematics for Angiosperms
and Gymnosperms in the current literature.

Could someone please tell me if there is a single reference that is
widely accepted, so that I could use it as a definitive source.
