Thank you again for reserving your group block within Hotel Ursa for the upcoming Sports Literature Association travel conference this June!  We are thrilled to provide comfort and convenience here on the University of Maine campus around your event schedule. We have carefully transitioned Holmes and Coburn Halls, creating a bridge between their history and our future, with the added addition of Polaris Hall as well.  Our unique branding allows each and every detail to be showcased beautifully, and reminds our guests to continue to explore the wonders of the universe! 

We are holding the following courtesy block within Hotel Ursa:

   - June 18 arrival for 5 night stay, checking out June 23, 2024
   - 15 rooms held within Polaris Hall, within a mixture of one king bed or two queen bed room type.  
   - $169.00 plus tax room rate.  Maine State Tax is 9%.  No other lodging or occupancy fees apply.  
   - Complimentary parking.   Parking pass provided by Hotel Ursa will detail all locations valid within hotel and University campus.  Pass must be clearly displayed in guest vehicle.
   - MajorMinor Café available onsite within Holmes Hall of Hotel Ursa for ordering off menu. 
   - May 28, 2024 is the group block release date.  Any rooms not picked up by this date will be released into public sale and group discount will no longer be available.  Room requests following this date will be upon room and rate availability at that time. 

Please communicate to your guests to book their room online within the inventory we have held for you. Please include this direction to avoid any confusion.  We will not have a reserve-via phone option available until after we open.

   - Click on the check-in date within the header and choose June 18   th, 2024 on the drop down calendar that appears.  The system defaults to the first night of stay only, so these are the steps to correctly choose the full date range of stay.  
   - After clicking the check-in date within the drop down calendar, click the check-out date on that same calendar.  This will highlight the correct date range of stay and update the check-out date above.  Note: You cannot adjust the check-out date from the header button, and must do so within the calendar.  
   - Then click on the “Special codes or rates” drop down arrow below the check in/check out header.  
   - Click on the Promo Code arrow to choose “Group Code” and within the Enter Code box, enter “SLA” and click Apply.
   - The calendar will showcase your dates of stay and list “SLA Available” in green below, allowing you to click “Search”
   - Complete the remainder of the reservation choosing the preferred hall and room type and continue to follow steps of reservation.
   - Each reservation will receive a confirmation number and email to the address provided for their record.  
   - Reserve your room(s) online soon to confirm your reservation while inventory is available to pick up within block.    
   - All must reserve prior to the May 28   th release date to book through group block discounted rate offering.  
   - Guarantee Policy – A valid credit card is required to confirm each reservation.
   - Cancel Policy – a 48-hour cancellation applies.  One night room and tax charge will apply for a no-show or if cancellation occurred within 48 hours of arrival date.
