Dear Friends,
This Lalitha from Chennai India, We have worked with first generation
learners, who have no background knowledge of spoken English.
The medium of instruction in our school for children SLD is English.
We have SIM as part of our curriculum and by the time these students leave
high school have completed sentence writing, comprehension and word
mapping. We find the strategies have helped to improve their reading,
comprehension and writing skills.
I hope this information was helpful.
Regards
Lalitha
