Subject: Wellesley Postdoc Position
Dear Hannah,

Greetings! I hope this email finds you well!

I wanted to share details about a two-year postdoc<https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwd1.myworkdaysite.com%2Frecruiting%2Fwellesley%2Fwellesley-staff%2Fjob%2FWellesley-College%2FPostdoctoral-Fellow_R0003587&data=05%7C01%7Cpols-l%40lists.ku.edu%7Cae22578792d04ece3e7d08db6e8d149d%7C3c176536afe643f5b96636feabbe3c1a%7C0%7C0%7C638225324427576530%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=KAOjWeeZt9c2M3OxjC8A1O990CpZjok30cPlntkx2mY%3D&reserved=0> position at Wellesley College. Together with my colleague and Co-PI Dr. Laura Grattan, we are looking to hire a postdoc fellow to work with us in co-creating a newly established hub at Wellesley College, the Anti-Carceral Co-Laboratory (ACC). The postdoc fellowship is part of a Mellon-funded project to build a regional hub in the greater Boston, MetroWest and Northeast region that centers the experiences of women, girls, trans and non-binary folks and families impacted by incarceration and criminalization.

In addition to pursuing their own anti-carceral/abolition feminist research agenda, the fellow will teach two courses during the fellowship period and collaborate with local partners in developing programs and community-driven projects to resist carceral violence and reimagine safety.

This position does not have a fixed deadline and applications will be considered until the position is filled. However, we will complete a first round review of applications on July 15, 2023. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply before July 15, 2023 for full consideration.

I would be incredibly grateful if you could share details about the position with interested candidates and help spread the word about the position to your networks. Thank you so much.

All best,

Jennifer Musto, PhD (she/her/hers)
