Hello,

The Political Science Department has had a very positive and productive year. As a department, we have worked together to continually strengthen the undergraduate and graduate programs. This year our undergraduate program has 505 POLS majors. One of the largest number of majors in the College.  This is due to our outstanding faculty including excellent classroom performance and mentoring.  Our graduate program is also very strong, and we managed to make important changes to the graduate program that will start next year. I want to thank our undergraduate director and graduate studies director for all the hard work they did this year.

As a whole, our faculty has also made significant contributions to their respective subfields through their research, grants and publications (books and articles). I have been reviewing our faculty CVs for the POLS Departmental Review and we have a very impressive research record, especially over the last year.

I also want to thank Linda and Ashley for their hard work and important contributions to the department.

It is great working with everyone, and I wish you and your family happy holidays and a safe and healthy new year.
