Good afternoon.  Am following up with a conversation we had back in December to demonstrate my appreciation of your support to the Simons Center as a member of my Editorial Board and in the hope of getting your University to financially partner with the Simons Center and become a sponsor of my Distinguished Speaker Series program for AY2019.  I have, if you would care to host her, Ambassador (ret) Deborah McCarthy available to make a presentation(s)/participate in an event(s) at KU (either campus) on Tuesday, 10 April during the day or on Wednesday, 11 April in the evening.  She is returning to town as our 2018 Visiting Professor of Diplomacy and she will meet with the CGSC students on the 11th and the 12th to share her expertise.

You may recall meeting Ambassador McCarthy at the Bud Meador sponsored Plato's Cave at Luigi's in Leavenworth back on 6 December 2017.  Her mini-CV is attached for your consideration.
