Please keep in mind for our upcoming faculty meetings Oct. 7 and Oct. 14.

CHANGES to Course Titles and/or Descriptions

Course title

Include the current course title when requesting a new title. New titles must be unique (i.e., no other POLS course can currently have the proposed title).

Transcript title - if the proposed course title is longer than 30 characters (including spaces and punctuation), please also include a shortened version for use on transcripts

Descriptions - 1500 characters or less

Please be sure to include any changes in prerequisites, if applicable.


NEW COURSES - Titles and Descriptions

Title - this should be a unique title that is not currently used

If the title is longer than 30 characters, a shortened version is required for transcripts.

Catalog Description - 1500 characters or less

If you aren't sure what to include, you can view other course descriptions on the catalog<http://catalog.ku.edu/allcourses/>.

Prerequisites - this should also include any co-requisites and conditions (GPA, etc.), if any are needed.

 New Minors, Certificates

Other important items to note

New courses must be approved by UG or Grad committee and the department. Upon approval by the committee, instructors must submit this information to Betty Jo for submission to the system.

All changes must be in the system by October 18th (no exceptions). Proposals with all necessary information should be submitted to Betty Jo as soon as possible in order to allow sufficient time before the deadline.
