Thursday and Friday
Dear Ambassadors,
Please share this with your colleagues:
Due to high demand, CTE is offering two additional sessions this week on "Navigating difficult post-election dialogues with students." One session will be on Thursday, Nov. 17, and the other on Friday, November 18. Both will be from 12 to 1 PM at CTE in 135 Budig. Lunch will be provided.
We have been asked to give faculty (tenure-track and lecturers) priority for these sessions. If you would like to attend, please contact me at jeddy at ku.edu<mailto:jeddy at ku.edu>, and let me know if you have any dietary needs. Spots are filling quickly even for the additional sessions.
Best wishes,
Judy Eddy

Subject: CTE special sessions next week: Navigating difficult post-election dialogues with students
Dear Colleagues,
The presidential election has generated divisive rhetoric on both sides of the political spectrum. Some people feel empowered even as others feel vulnerable and threatened. That creates a complicated role for instructors, who must balance the supporting roles of educator and mentor while leading challenging and potentially heated discussions. What's the best way to do that?
Join us for a conversation next week at the Center for Teaching Excellence in 135 Budig Hall. Two sessions will be offered: Tuesday, November 15, and Wednesday, November 16, both from 12 to 1 PM. Choose the one session that fits into your schedule.
Lunch will be provided. Please note that space is limited. RSVP to me, Judy Eddy, at jeddy at ku.edu<mailto:jeddy at ku.edu>, and let me know if you have any dietary needs.
Best wishes,
Judy
