Our World War II Memory Wall has been a beloved feature since we opened our doors in 2003.

Call for new submissions!

We’re excited to announce our new initiative to recognize Kansas veterans from WWII up to today – not only online, but also in the halls of the Dole Institute.

Submissions received by October 15, 2021 will be included in the Kansas Veterans Virtual Memory Wall (KVVMW) upon its unveiling in November 2021. We will continue to accept submissions and update the KVVMW on an ongoing basis thereafter.

So that we may honor Kansas veterans in perpetuity, a donation of $20 each profile is requested.

On July, 22, 2021, Senator Bob Dole's 98th birthday, USA Today ran a story by Susan Page focusing on Senator Dole's health challenges and his thoughts on the future of the GOP.

In the article, Senator Dole states that he hopes to regain enough strength to make one more trip home to Kansas to visit the Veterans Affairs medical center in Topeka and meet with students at the Dole Institute of Politics.
