Dear colleagues --

Happy New Year! Hope you all are having a wonderful and restorative break and staying well despite everything going on in the country right now.

I saw today that KU Student Senate is hosting a town hall to discuss the recent DEI office reorganization. They are inviting students as well as faculty and staff to join in, so I thought I would share the information (see below). I'm pleased about the opportunity, especially in light of everything going on nationally, and since we have not had such forums available for quite some time. This was an important reorganization that happened right before break, so it seems important to dialoguing on it now that we are all a bit more rested.

See below, I think the students would be happy to see as many of us as possible at the event, so please share with your department colleagues and join as you are able:

Student Senate invites all students, staff, and faculty to a town hall to discuss recently enacted campus wide changes to the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging.
