[Pols-announce] Message from the Dean concerning appointment of John Kennedy as Department Chair

To the faculty, staff, and graduate students of the Department of Political Science:



I am writing in regard to your department’s search for its next department chair. I am pleased to let you know that your colleague John Kennedy has accepted this position, with a term scheduled to begin on July 1, 2021, and to end on June 30, 2026. At that time, he would be eligible for being considered for reappointment.



As you know, Professor Kennedy will succeed Don Haider-Markel. I would like to thank Professor Haider-Markel for his service and wish him well in his next endeavors.



I would also like to thank you for your participation and feedback during the process of selecting new leadership for your department. In particular, I would like to thank Robert Rohrschneider for serving as chair of the search committee.
