Xan Wedel, Senior Research Data Engineer and Lead, State Data Center,<https://ipsr.ku.edu/sdc/> will walk through ways that data and data visualizations can enrich your work at each stage of a research project. Learn strategies to justify your research questions, identify sound data to use in your research project, and illustrate your research results. Explore data and other resources available through the U.S. Census Bureau and the Kansas Statistical Abstract.<https://ipsr.ku.edu/ksdata/ksah/>

Research To Advance a Culture of Health and Equity: Current RWJF Approaches
Monday, November 11, 2019, 12:30 pm, Malott Room of the Kansas Union

Alonzo Plough, VP of Research-Learning-Evaluation and Chief Science Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation,<https://www.rwjf.org/en/our-focus-areas.html> will discuss the foundation’s current funding priorities and how researchers can develop compelling proposals to achieve a culture of health and equity. A brief reception will follow the presentation.
