We invite the students of your department to attend a talk by Ann Varghese, a KU alum and member of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Advisory Board. She currently works for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She will be on campus April 7 to speak with students about her career path and experiences overseas. We would greatly appreciate you passing this information on to students who may be interested. We look forward to seeing them there. Below is a description of the event and a flyer is attached. International Job Talks: Ann Varghese
Friday, April 7, 10:00-11:30 am, 318 Bailey Hall
Our guest, a KU grad and Program Officer at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will discuss her career path and offer advice for current students. Ann Varghese, Program Officer, Neglected Tropical Diseases, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has over 15 years' experience in global health and development. She has worked in West and East Africa, India, and Haiti. She received her MS from Brandeis University and BA from KU (Communication Studies & Intercultural Communication). Refreshments will be served. This is part of the "International Job Talks" series sponsored by KU's Area Studies Centers and the School of Languages, Literatures & Cultures.
