KU Writing Center Graduate Support
Graduate Student Writing Groups: Students may join an accountability writing group and use the entire time to write or a feedback writing group and circulate drafts of their writing with others. Groups meet 2 hrs/wk in Anschutz Library and are free of charge. Space is still available in our xx and xx groups. One-on-One Writing Consultations: Students may schedule a one-on-one graduate writing consultation in Anschutz Library or get feedback via email or videoconference. Schedule on our Writing Center homepage<https://writing.ku.edu/>.
*      Graduate/Research Write-Ins: Students bring their writing projects to Watson Library for a quiet day of uninterrupted work. They may also get help with writing, research, citations, or formatting. Register for the write-ins through the write-ins webpage<http://writing.ku.edu/write-in>. Upcoming dates: Saturday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 21.

       Appointments with the Graduate Writing Specialist: Dr. Claire McMurray<https://writing.ku.edu/claire-mcmurray> can help students with adjusting to graduate-level writing, overcoming writer's block, publishing journal articles, writing grant/fellowship applications, completing academic job applications, and thesis/dissertation coaching. Writing Workshops: The Writing Center now offers a variety of in-class workshops<http://writing.ku.edu/class-workshop> (such as APA, lit reviews, etc.) for the graduate classroom. The Graduate Writing Specialist<mailto:mcmurrayclaire at ku.edu> can also give workshops<http://writing.ku.edu/graduate-workshops> about publishing, grant writing, and writing academic job search materials to entire units or departments.
