The following message was sent to graduate students this morning. An information session specifically for GTAs, GRAs and GAs on de-escalation techniques will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, in Alderson Auditorium of the Kansas Union. It will be livestreamed on the concealed carry website for those who cannot attend in person.
Additional sessions covering de-escalation and active shooter situations will be announced soon in KU Today and on the KU News Service website<http://news.ku.edu/>. They will be open to all members of the KU community.
