[Electronic-LAN] Evergy project in Heatherwood Heights

Dear Neighborhood Association members,
Please consider sending a letter (email) to the City Planning Commission objecting to Evergy Substation project. Letters must be submitted before 10am on Monday June 21st.
The Heatherwood Heights Neighborhood strongly objects to this project as it will be built very close to our homes. Some of our specific concerns include:
-permanent negative effects on property value
-noise nuisance from transformers humming 24/7 and the effects that may have on health and quality of life
-health concerns due to EMFs
-Evergy's lack of consideration of other sites away from houses
-flooding
-aesthetics
-future concerns and unforeseen consequences
The neighborhood and community has not had long enough to learn important information regarding this project. Westar, now Evergy, has been working on this since 2015. We have basically had 1 month to ask clarifying questions which have not all been answered.
