*Subject:* Spread the word--City/County Food Systems Survey launched!

Dear Lawrence Neighborhood leaders,

The Douglas County Food Policy Council
<https://www.douglascountyks.org/fpc/welcome> need the input of local
residents!

The city-county advisory board has launched a Food Systems Survey to inform
the creation of a county-wide food plan to present to City and
County Commissioners for adoption.

*Please share this link and email/information with your various
neighborhood networks to make sure the experiences and ideas of folks
across the city are heard. *

The survey will remain open until October 9. *If you would like paper
copies of the survey or a follow-up conversation or presentation, please
let me know. *

Click here to take the survey <http://lawrenceks.org/lawrence-listens>
and learn
more about the project here
<https://www.douglascountyks.org/fpc/food-system-plan>.

The survey will ask about the local shopping, eating, and cooking
experiences of local residents. It also offers respondents the chance to
share their thoughts on identified food system issues, including access to
healthy food, agricultural land preservation, economic development, and
urban agriculture.

The results of the survey, other research, and community priorities will be
shared and discussed at five community meetings in November.

   - Thursday, November 10, 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Lecompton Community Building,
   Lecompton
   - Saturday, November 12, 10:00am to 11:00am: Union Pacific Depot,
   Lawrence
   - Monday, November 14, 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Douglas Co. Fairgrounds,
   Meeting Hall, Lawrence
   - Tuesday, November 15, 6:30pm to 8:00pm: Community Center, Eudora
   - Wednesday, November 16, 6:00pm to 7:30pm: Lumberyard Arts, Baldwin
   City

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Many thanks for your help spread the word across our community!

Helen
