[Taxacom] [iczn-list] GENERAL CALL TO BATTLE

Even if a group of taxonomists decided to amend the code to preclude DNA
only descriptions that would not necessarily end the practice of DNA
descriptions.

Even when a taxonomist leaves morphological clues as to the species so
named, it may not make much difference for many potential end users as the
morphology involved might be microscopic or require dissection. Fine for
those with the resources and ability, but it seems to me to not be of much
help for everyone else who would be in the same boat as if the species had
been defined by a DNA sequence. I see this all the time on inaturalist
where people post photos and for my group I often have to say that the
species cannot be identified without dissection.
