[Taxacom] Christmas Greetings WCM-2022

Dear colleagues and friends of the World Congress of Malacology 
(WCM-2022),

needless to say that the nearly past year has been challenging for all 
of us and we hope that you all are OK and healthy. The aspired dates of 
WCM-2022 are still August 1-6, 2022, and those interested can combine 
WCM with ICIM5 [LINK] in Vienna, Austria the week after. Meanwhile, the 
Anti-Covid-vaccines have entered and distributed globally, many people 
are even already boostered. Although the omicron-variant appears as a 
new schallenge, we still hope that the overall situation will 
significantly improve in the upcoming New Year 2022. Nevertheless, we 
still strongly recommend all potential participants to be vaccinated to 
avoid restrictions and circumstances during vacation and your stay here 
in Germany.

Concerning the WCM-program, we are very pleased (thank you, organizers!) 
to offer no less than ten interesting symposia (see <

of sightseeing tours in Munich and the surrounding region (see <

deadline for early bird registration at January 31st, 2022 in order to

We look very much forward to welcoming all of you to Munich in more 
relaxed times. Have in mind and distribute that the WCM-2022 wants to be 
a “Meeting of Generations” to keep a global “molluscan” family together.

For now, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy (truly happy!) New 
Year, some quiet, relaxing days with your family and your beloved ones.
