[Taxacom] US National Strategic Overview for Research and Development Infrastructure

The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) issued the National Strategic Overview for Research and Development Infrastructure yesterday.  One of the purposes of this report is to standardize the definition of R&D infrastructure across the US government.  In that context, it is important to note that this report firmly includes scientific collections, data collections, earth observation platforms (biological field stations), telescopes, and libraries in the definition of R&D infrastructure, along with laboratories, etc. (See for example, page 9 and 10).
