[Taxacom] a question about diagnosing species-group taxa

Dear taxacomers.
 
does any one of you know the case(s) of the diagnosing of a newly described species-group taxon based on the ethological traits?
 
This issue seems to concern current debates about descriptions of new taxa based on the photos of the life animals (e.g.,   https://doi.org/10.11646/bionomina.12.1 ) .
 
Any relevant reference(s) would be highly appreciated.
