We seek outstanding candidates in the fields of terrestrial biodiversity, including, but not limited to, Behavioral Ecology, Population Ecology, Community Ecology, Macroecology and Conservation Biology, as well as Theoretical Ecology.
The center provides good start-up funding and substantial internal support for new PIs. The center consists of four divisions: Marine biodiversity and ecosystems, Terrestrial biodiversity and ecosystems, Molecular and genomic evolution, and Microbial diversity. The center is in charge of Taiwan Biodiversity Information Facility (TaiBIF) which is part of GBIF and a sequencing core with multiple platforms of second and third generation high throughput sequencers.
Academia Sinica is well equipped with latest research facilities across life and physical science discipline and inter-disciplinary collaborations are strongly encouraged. The positions will be open until filled; however, the first review will be conducted in January 2021. Applicants should submit her/his CV (including a list of publications), 3−5 representative papers (PDF files), and a statement of past achievements and future research interests to our center secretary Ms. Miao-Suey Lin (zomslin at gate.sinica.edu.tw<mailto:zomslin at gate.sinica.edu.tw>).
