[Taxacom] NE USA herbaceous plant ID request

Not lavatera which would have 3 epicalyx. Here as author says each of the
five sepals subtended by a subsepal (read epicalyx or bracteoles as you
like). In Malvaceae stamens are defining characters which are missing in
description, only photo can help in deciding.
