For example the rules on effective publication:
In Art 29.1 the first half is retroactive back to
1753. The second half is expressly limited, to
apply only from 1 January 2012 onwards.

Art. 30.7-9 are expressly limited, to apply only
from 1 January 1953 onwards (or 1973, as the
case may be).
