We have TWO  Chris Reid in Sydney, one works on Chrysomelidae and another is
Behavioural Ecologist.

Andy,

 

Richard Crawshay was a mycologist, not a botanist - if you believe the world
is populated by plants and animals then the fungi are 'honorary' animals ...
so he was a zoologist.

we have been trying to determine whether Richard Crawshay the botanist
(Standard IPNI form: Crawshay) is the same person as Captain Richard
Crawshay, the ornithologist. It seems likely, but is not proven.

 

Can anyone add to the evidence there? Does anyone have a copy of the
former's 'The Spore Ornamentation of Russulas'? Or of Harold Fletcher

(1965) 'The story of the Royal Horticultural Society, 1804-1968, page

205 of which may hold the answer?
