[Taxacom] Does a misspelling merit parentheses?

Leach 1815 proposed Limnebius
Agassiz 1846 emended it to Limnobius (unjustified emendation: Limnebius is not preoccupied)
Wollaston 1864 proposed punctatus in Limnebius
Wollaston 1865 transferred puncatatus to Limnobius (and listed Limnebius in synonymy)
 — Since Wollaston’s 1865 paper mentions both Limnebius and Limnobius, the action could be interpreted as an emendation (unjustified) or it could be a subsequent usage of Agassiz’s 1846 Limnobius

In any case, the correct combination is still Limnebius punctatus Wollaston, 1864 since Limnobius was unjustified.

In 1864, Wollaston described the species punctatus in a genus he originally
spelled as "Limnebius". In a later paper, he corrected the generic spelling
to "Limnobius".

Is this correction enough to merit his name being placed in parentheses?
That is, should this species now be referred to as

a). Limnobius punctatus Wollaston, 1864, or

b). Limnobius punctatus (Wollaston, 1864)?

Thanks,

-Bob
