One and All -
A recent personal discussion came up, and a question was asked that I
couldn't answer.
Can any of you offer any insight into the southern limits of the range
of New World Theraphosid tarantulas?
The problem involves both Chile and Argentina which span truly
impressive distances north to south, from the tropics very near the
Equator all the way to the southern tip of South America. (Chile: 4,270
km (2,653 mi) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Chile.)
(Argentina: 3,650 km (2,268 mi) -
http://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/Americas/Argentina-LOCATION-SIZE-AND-EXTENT.html.)
The World Spider Catalog lists quite a number of species from these two
countries. But gives no clues as to the southern limits of any species'
range within those countries.
Thanks in advance.
