 In print, yes, but
 not restricted to academic journals (and, for that matter,

 overlooks the CD option).  I'm not able to send a
 comment to Nature, but it
 might be worth pointing out the correction.
 
 On a related note, does anyone know if PLoS One as of 2014
 was compliant
 with ICZN rules for print publication?  PLoS One.

 subfamily.  The
 names are republished as new this year in without
 explanation of the
