[Taxacom] valid species name question

I would say that the authors are saying that Sonchus bourgeaui Sch. Bip.
var. imbricatus (Svent.) Boulos is the currently accepted name for this
taxon.

Both names are available for the taxon - usage would depend on whether one
believed it should be recognized at the species or varietal rank.
