[Taxacom] iSpecies

Hi Sami,
The search is pretty limited and results are very dependant on what the data sources have (and how easy it is to search them).
The search also requires that the name is formatted correctly, i.e. http://ispecies.org/?q=Silene%20succulenta As David Shorthouse has pointed out, it might be nice have iSpecies be more liberal in how it interprets names.
Regards
Rod

Hi Rod
Thank you very much for making Ispecies back again.
I try using it for Silene Succulenta but confused data appear. I try using Silene only the same.
All the best

Hi Stephen,
Ah, the classic “let me try this obscure taxon I happen to know about, oh it doesn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know, ergo it’s a bit crap” test. We all do it.
I guess I could add BioNames into the mix http://bionames.org/search/Stegommata which would at least give you a little bit more information.
Regards
Rod
