Of significantly more importance than the name in the context of invasive species, especially of lesser known taxa, is the circumscription of the taxon ... 'a rose by any other names is just as sweet' or in this case 'an invasive by any other name is just as invasive' :-)

Yes, this is normal. Another difference is that in zoology, when a species
has changed genus, the name of the author who first moved it is not given,
whereas in botany, they are: in your example (Martius) Solms in botany, the
equivalent in zoology would just be (Martius, 18xx) or whatever the
original publication date would be.
