[Taxacom] Species names for sale again, and before

Hi all

Not sure if anyone is still interested in the sale of species names - but it seems to be expanding.

Saw this website on TV last night:  http://yourspecies.com/
Then found this one: http://biopat.de/artenkatalog-catalogue-of-species.html

And this describes an auction in 2007 which allegedly raised 2 million dollars by selling naming rights - some species going for half a million or more:

Seems like charismatic species can be quite lucrative!
