[Taxacom] Horticultural taxonomist job vacancy at Kew

A 5-year, fixed term post for a Horticultural Taxonomist is available at The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew.

The  role will involve carrying out taxonomic verifications of the woody plant collections held in the Arboretum and Gardens Section at Kew, Wakehurst Place and The Yorkshire Arboretum at Castle Howard, York. This will include all established and young tree plantings. The postholder will manage his/her own time, working with the staff in all 3 locations, and focus on verifying temperate tree collections to high taxonomic and horticultural standards that inspire and educate visitors, and support the conservation and research functions of the organisation.

This postholder will be part of team in the Arboretum and Gardens Section of the Horticulture Department at Kew which cultivates and curates the hardy woody plant collections and the Identification & Naming Department in  the Herbarium.
